What We Do

Shelter and Adopt

Carbon County Friends of Animals (CCFOA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending animal suffering by providing shelter and finding loving homes for unwanted cats. We also promote low-cost spaying and neutering and engage in educational outreach to support pet welfare.

Founded in 1997 to address the urgent need for a cat shelter in our area, we operate independently from the county. While our name includes “Carbon County,” we receive no funding from the county or any government agency. In contrast to the county-run animal shelter for dogs, which receives government support, CCFOA is entirely funded through donations, fundraising efforts, and the generosity of our community.

Our mission is to shelter as many cats as possible, giving them a safe haven until they find their forever homes. We rely on and deeply appreciate the support of our contributors—without whom this vital work would not be possible.
